Crossover Elite Basketball was founded for the purpose of providing elite basketball players in St. Charles County the opportunity to train and compete with players of similar commitment levels during the non-traditional basketball season.

What happens when the traditional season resumes?

Players participating on Crossover Elite teams during the spring, summer and fall are encouraged to return to their respective school affiliated programs during the traditional basketball season. While we understand the school affiliated teams deserve the “priority” during the traditional basketball season, we will still have Crossover Elite teams during the winter session. These teams may play fewer games to ensure players are afforded ample opportunity to give their feeder team the necessary attention.

Philosophy

As coaches of school affiliated programs we’ve seen an emergence of “club” basketball programs surfacing in the St. Louis area. Too often these “club” programs evolve into bonafide “all-star” teams with the emphasis being on individuals showcasing skills in lieu of players developing their individual skills within the framework of team basketball principles. When players would return from their club basketball experience they hadn’t developed as players in a fashion that would improve their chances of succeeding at the high school level.

The Solution

We realized if we aggregated players from programs in our area we could provide the elite player an opportunity to pursue the advantages of playing “club” basketball while also optimizing their opportunity to continue learning the game within the framework of team basketball.

Coaches of Crossover Elite teams are coaches currently affiliated with Liberty, Ft. Zumwalt South, Timberland, Ft. Zumwalt West.

Players on Crossover Elite teams are comprised of players in the residency areas of Ft. Zumwalt South, Liberty, Francis Howell, Timberland, Winfield, Warrenton, St. Charles, Ft. Zumwalt West, Ft. Zumwalt North, Francis Howell North, St. Dominic, Holt, Marquette, Francis Howell Central, Troy and Orchard Farm. Players from any school residency area are welcome to participate.

Crossover Elite Basketball is able to provide players this higher level of competition without the usual costs associated with funding a for profit “club” basketball program.
